Micro Quality Calibration (MQC) provides aerodynamic support, calibration, and testing to our broad-based aerospace, defense, automotive, and the occasional Boy Scouts of America clientele with our Omega WT4401-D Wind Tunnel.

This wind tunnel supports a variety of airfoil test instruments, including:

• The occasional Boy Scout race car aerodynamic design and testing
• Commercially manufactured
• Off-The-Shelf (OTS) anemometers
• Thermal (hot wire) anemometers
• And air velocity test instruments

Bundled with the wind tunnel is an environmental monitoring system that measures barometric pressure, ambient room temperature, humidity, and differential pressure, which may be converted to actual differential readings that may be used to compute for accurate flow rates.

Differential pressure is significantly affected by barometric pressure and temperature conditions during testing and calibration, and, depending on the probe type, humidity may also contribute to the accuracy of the measurement results.

MQC embraces the Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) and is currently in the process of certifying a more accurate Reference Standard Pitot Tube that will radically improve MQC’s current accredited CMC of 2.1% of reading from 25 fpm to 1000 fpm and 2.4% from 1000 to 9000 FPM.
