Preparation
Our Physical Dimensional Laboratory not only uses the most advanced state-of-the-art equipment but is also environmentally controlled (both temperature and humidity are closely monitored 68°F with relative humidity not to exceed 40%) to give the lowest degree of measurement uncertainty.
Preparation of your precision measurement test equipment is just as important as the calibration. Preparation varies and is equipment specific. Any test instrumentation is thoroughly cleaned and inspected and allowed typically 24 to 72 hours to stabilize the temperature of the gage. This is done to obtain the most accurate measurement. When the gages are calibrated they are inspected for nicks, burrs, corrosion and any other damage that may hamper accuracy and repeatability. Once calibrated, they are certified (with data) and either coated in dip-seal or oiled and packaged ready to be shipped to the customer.
